MABE professor Feng-Yuan Zhang and his team of researchers were awarded $2M in grants from the Department of Energy for their work in hydrogen technology. The team is using proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer cells to convert water into its constituent gases, creating a more efficient process of hydrogen generation. Zhang’s breakthrough research is a huge step toward providing affordable and reliable energy to US families and businesses.
